I have seen great potential and profit in being able to make money working online. Reason being, that you have many eyeballs to promote to. Many people are going to see what you want to sell.

Now you need a system and a plan. You need a way to catch their attention and bring them into your store.

You have seen those big inflatable gorillas or animals or whatever on the top of the stores when you drive down the freeway, and say, “wow, that is pretty cool”. They just caught your attention.

There are also those people dressed in weird costumes standing on the side of the road flagging motorists into their shops. They are there to catch attention. The company owner pays these people $10/hour or something to stand on the side of the road in a weird costume and wave at the people passing by. You may thing, those people look so stupid, but they caught your attention.

I have seen a lot of different online make money programs. Some are hype. Originally, I didn’t want to spend any money, and the alternative, earn money.

Well, that was a great thought, but it didn’t happen that way.

But, I have bought domain names and spent a lot of time trying to get this whole “make money working online” thing to workout.

Good thing for me, I’m a programmer, so it was a pain, but I could figure things out, like php, web design, and all its intricacies, then use them in business (like a promo, “I have done it before”).

The making money part, much to my dismay, has not happened, yet.

I received an email from some guy whose list I opted into a while back. I heard this mp3. (Click here for the mp3.)

This process was clear and made a lot of sense.

People search for information on the internet. They look for the information that will satisfy their needs. Then people will buy the recommended product. People buy from those they know, like, and trust. By reading your information, they will know you. If they like your information, they will like you. If they think your information, your expertise is helpful, they will trust you enough and buy from you.

If you type in something on the Google search engine, you are probably going to click on one of the links on the first page. One of the “organic” links, that is. Then you’ll probably read the information, and click the recommended link, or buy the product because you liked the information.

Now if you do the same thing. Write down some information that you know about, and then share a product link that you think will help someone else. Then you’ll make money working online.

Everyone knows about something. They have been places, done things, or seen something that someone else is selling. You can put your knowledge with their product and make some money.

Here is the process that this system and mp3 diagrams:

1. Find keywords people are actually searching for in Google. (use the free version of Market Samurai to find keywords searched for and with low competition (less than 30k searches) ).

Like I said before, people go onto the internet to find a solution to their problem. They are searching for information. To be seen on the search engines you need to type words people are actually looking for, and to have a good chance of showing up in the first listings, there needs to be low competition.

You can also use the google keyword tool. When you find a keyword, like “dog training”, people are looking for many times a day, like more than 90 times a day, go to google.com, place that keyword in quotes, like “dog training”. If the resulting pages are less than 30,000, then you probably have a good chance of ranking for that keyword.

2. Make a free “lens” in SQUIDOO (squidoo.com), or a web of 5 different lenses (squidoo calls a page a lens), with the keyword (squidoo.com/dogtraining).

3. At the end of the lens put a link to an affiliate product (you can get on Clickbank.com). Search for “dog training” on Clickbank.com.

4. You make money off the commissions. (think about it, $20 x 10 sales = $200)

5. Squidoo.com has a PR of 8 out of 10 in Google, so it’s going to be listed higher in the search results than if you go and try to buy a domain name.

So, if you know about paintball guns, you can create a squidoo lens about paintball guns, and then recommend a product you found on Clickbank.

Essentially you are getting a free page from squidoo, using free traffic from google, and using another person’s product to make money. That is pretty much all you need to make money working online.
